History of Lugari DTTC
Lugari Diploma Teachers Training College is a government institution situated in Lugari Sub County, Munyuki Sub-Location, within Kakamega County, Western Kenya. The college is strategically located approximately 35km from Eldoret Town along the Uganda-Webuye Road, adjacent to Lumakanda DEB Primary School and about 4km from the Eldoret-Malaba main road.
The college was established to address the growing demand for professionally trained primary and secondary school teachers in the region. Over the years, it has grown to become one of the leading teacher training colleges in Western Kenya, producing hundreds of qualified teachers who serve in schools across the country.
Accredited by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and operating under the mandate of the Ministry of Education, Lugari DTTC offers a rigorous three-year Diploma in Teacher Education programme.

It is my joy and honour to welcome you to Lugari Diploma Teachers Training College, a place we proudly call home. Whether you are a prospective student, a parent, a partner, or simply a visitor, thank you for taking the time to get to know us better.
Every morning, as our students walk to class across this green and peaceful compound, I am reminded of why we do this work because teaching is a calling. The men and women who train here today will stand before the children of Kenya tomorrow, shaping minds, building character, and lighting the path for the next generation. There is no greater responsibility and no greater privilege.
At Lugari DTTC, we believe in nurturing the whole teacher. Beyond the classroom, our students grow through games, sports, music, clubs, and community service. We keep our doors open and our standards high, guided by our motto Knowledge is Power.
